St. Edward Green Wave (Elgin, IL) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Westmont Sentinels (Westmont, IL), 49-25 in a non-league bout.

With the win, St. Edward upgrades its record to 9-8 on the season. The Green Wave host Larkin (Elgin, IL) to play the Royals in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 6. The Royals go into the bout with a record of 8-7. Larkin won 46-39 in their recent league bout against Bartlett (Bartlett, IL)

Next up, the Sentinels play the Fenton Bison (Bensenville, IL) in a non-league bout, on Monday, January 8. Westmont will attempt to upgrade on its 7-10 season record.
