Shorecrest Prep Chargers (St. Petersburg, FL) fans were thrilled Thursday as they observed their soccer team hold off the visiting Academy of the Holy Names Jaguars (Tampa, FL), 1-0 in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Chargers face the Berkeley Prep Buccaneers (Tampa, FL) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 9. Shorecrest Prep will attempt to better on its 5-2 season record. The Buccaneers enter the challenge with a 8-2 record after their 2-1 non-league win over Lakeland Christian (Lakeland, FL).

The Jaguars now have a 5-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Tampa Catholic for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, January 9. Academy of the Holy Names will face a Crusaders team coming off a 5-0 non-league win over Bell Creek Academy (Riverview, FL). The Crusaders record now stands at 5-2.
