The crowd at Thursday's non-league test between the Horizon Scorpions (El Paso, TX) and the host Austin Panthers (El Paso, TX), saw Horizon's soccer squad knock off Austin by a count of 3-0.

The Scorpions now hold a 2-0 record. They play next when they travel to Parkland for a non-league test on Friday, January 5. Horizon will meet a Matadors squad coming off a 5-1 non-league win over Clint (Clint, TX). The Matadors record now stands at 2-0.

With the loss, Austin drops to 0-2 on the season. The Panthers travel to Fabens (Fabens, TX) to meet the Wildcats in a 4A Region 1 District 1 test on Tuesday, January 9. The Wildcats come into the test with a record of 0-4. Fabens lost 5-0 in their recent non-league test against Hanks (El Paso, TX)
