The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the River Oaks Mustangs (Monroe, LA) and the visiting Adams County Christian Rebels (Natchez, MS), observed River Oaks's basketball team overcome Adams County Christian by a score of 51-42.

The Mustangs (14-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Franklin Academy (Winnsboro, LA). The Cougars come into the MAIS 3A District 4 challenge with a 0-4 record. In their last challenge, Franklin Academy dropped by Prairie View Academy (Bastrop, LA), 66-11, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Rebels battle the Central Hinds Academy Cougars (Raymond, MS) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, January 6. Adams County Christian will attempt to improve on its 7-3 season record. The Cougars come into the challenge with a 14-8 record after their 64-61 league win over Tri-County Academy (Flora, MS).
