In Saturday's non-league test, the Hawthorne Valley Wildcats (Ghent, NY) basketball squad trounced the host Argyle Scots (Argyle, NY), by a final score of 65-38.
Next, the Wildcats clash with the Hudson Ridge Thunder Chicken (Albany, NY) in a Section 2 Central Hudson Valley test, on Wednesday, January 8. Hawthorne Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 3-5 season record.
The Scots (1-3) will now prepare for their test against Lake George (Lake George, NY). The Lakers come into the Section 2 Adirondack test with a 1-9 record. In their last test, Lake George was overwhelmed by St. Lawrence Central (Brasher Falls, NY), 43-30, in a non-league test.
