The Basha Bears basketball squad (Chandler, AZ), was nudged 62-61 in Saturday's non-league battle with the visiting Redondo Union Sea Hawks (Redondo Beach, CA)

With the victory, Redondo Union advances its record to 16-2 on the year. The Sea Hawks travel to Wiseburn- Da Vinci (El Segundo, CA) to meet the Wolves in a Bay battle on Tuesday, January 7. The Wolves enter the battle with a record of 13-5. Wiseburn- Da Vinci won 61-53 in their recent non-league battle against Artesia (Lakewood, CA)

The Bears now own a 11-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Perry for a 6A Premier battle on Friday, January 10.
