Ohio High School Basketball - Rittman can't hold off Black River

Black River Pirates (Sullivan, OH) boosters left the game satisfied Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the visiting Rittman Indians (Rittman, OH), 58-51 in a non-league match.

With the victory, Black River upgrades its record to 3-7 on the year. The Pirates travel to Brookside (Sheffield, OH) to face the Cardinals in a Lorain County 8 match on Tuesday, January 7. The Cardinals enter the match with a record of 5-4. Brookside lost 89-51 in their recent non-league match against Avon (Avon, OH)

The Indians now sport a 1-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to New London for a non-league match on Tuesday, January 7. Rittman will face a Wildcats squad coming off a 60-36 league loss to Monroeville (Monroeville, OH). The Wildcats record now stands at 0-8.
