The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Shelley Russets (Shelley, ID) and the host Burley Bobcats (Burley, ID), observed Shelley's basketball team edge Burley by a margin of 54-48.

The Russets (2-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Idaho Falls (Idaho Falls, ID). The Tigers come into the 5A High Country challenge with a 2-6 record. In their last challenge, Idaho Falls was tipped by Snake River (Blackfoot, ID), 79-35, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Bobcats battle the Preston Indians (Preston, ID) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 7. Burley will attempt to better on its 1-7 season record. The Indians come into the challenge with a 10-1 record after their 58-56 non-league win over West Field (Taylor, UT).
