In Saturday's non-league contest, the host New Miami Vikings basketball team scored a big 76-36 triumph over the Covington Latin Trojans.
The Vikings (2-8) will now prepare for their contest against Cincinnati Christian (Fairfield, OH). The Cougars go into the Miami Valley - Miami contest with a 4-4 record. In their last contest, Cincinnati Christian smashed Twin Valley South (West Alexandria, OH), 69-53, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Trojans confront the St. Patrick Saints (Maysville, KY) in a non-league contest, on Thursday, January 16. Covington Latin will attempt to better on its 0-2 season record. The Saints go into the contest with a 1-8 record after their 93-34 non-league loss to Paris (Paris, KY).
