In Saturday's non-league contest, the host Franklin Parish Patriots basketball team scored a close 71-64 triumph over the Jennings Bulldogs.
The Patriots (12-12) will now prepare for their contest against Bastrop (Bastrop, LA). The Rams go into the non-league contest with a 12-7 record. In their last contest, Bastrop nipped Delhi Charter (Delhi, LA), 82-54, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Bulldogs battle the Welsh Greyhounds (Welsh, LA) in a non-league contest, on Monday, January 6. Jennings will attempt to better on its 8-10 season record. The Greyhounds go into the contest with a 4-7 record after their 59-54 non-league loss to Kinder (Kinder, LA).
