Geneva Vikings (Geneva, IL) fans went home pleased Saturday as they observed their basketball team knock off the host Hampshire Whip-Purs (Hampshire, IL), 52-44 in a non-league challenge.

The Vikings (12-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Conant (Hoffman Estates, IL). The Cougars come into the non-league challenge with a 6-6 record. In their last challenge, Conant was knocked off by Addison Trail (Addison, IL), 75-69, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Whip-Purs encounter the Jacobs Golden Eagles (Algonquin, IL) in a Fox Valley challenge, on Wednesday, January 8. Hampshire will attempt to improve on its 5-11 season record. The Golden Eagles come into the challenge with a 8-4 record after their 64-55 non-league win over Naperville North (Naperville, IL).
