The Wessington Springs Spartans basketball team scored 62 points and limited the host Highmore/Harrold Pirates to 42 in the Spartans non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Spartans now possess a 3-1 record. They play next when they travel to Sunshine Bible Academy for a non-league game on Thursday, January 9. Wessington Springs will confront a Crusaders team coming off a 55-32 non-league loss to James Valley Christian (Huron, SD). The Crusaders record now stands at 0-3.
With the loss, Highmore/Harrold falls to 1-3 on the campaign. The Pirates travel to Stanley County (Fort Pierre, SD) to battle the Buffalos in a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 7. The Buffalos come into the contest with a record of 2-1.
