The Kemper County Wildcats basketball squad (DeKalb, MS), was nudged 50-46 in Saturday's non-league battle with the host Scott Central Rebels (Forest, MS)
With the victory, Scott Central advances its record to 7-5 on the year. The Rebels travel to Newton (Newton, MS) to meet the Tigers in a 2A Region 5 battle on Monday, January 6. The Tigers enter the battle with a record of 8-4. Newton lost 40-33 in their recent league battle against Bay Springs (Bay Springs, MS)
The Wildcats now own a 6-11 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Southeast Lauderdale for a 3A Region 5 battle on Friday, January 10. Kemper County will meet a Tigers squad coming off a 67-37 league win over Enterprise (Enterprise, MS). The Tigers record now stands at 8-6.
