The Lafayette Commodores basketball squad (Oxford, MS), was nudged 57-50 in Saturday's non-league battle with the visiting Red Bay Tigers (Red Bay, AL)
With the victory, Red Bay advances its record to 11-7 on the year. The Tigers travel to Lamar County (Vernon, AL) to meet the Bulldogs in a 2A Area 10 battle on Tuesday, January 7. The Bulldogs enter the battle with a record of 2-16.
The Commodores now own a 9-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to New Hope for a 5A Region 1 battle on Tuesday, January 7. Lafayette will meet a Trojans squad coming off a 65-60 league loss to Clarksdale (Clarksdale, MS). The Trojans record now stands at 7-5.
