In Saturday's league contest, the visiting McKenzie Eagles basketball team scored a close 52-48 win over the Mohawk Mustangs.

The Eagles (2-9) will now prepare for their contest against Crow (Eugene, OR). The Cougars come into the contest with a 2-6 record. In their last contest, Crow edged Alsea (Alsea, OR), 30-28, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Mustangs battle the Triangle Lake Lakers (Blachly, OR) in a 1A Mountain West contest, on Tuesday, January 7. Mohawk will attempt to better on its 4-7 season record. The Lakers come into the contest with a 6-5 record after their 60-40 league loss to Eddyville (Eddyville, OR).
