The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Riverton Hawks (Riverton, IL) and the visiting Pana Panthers (Pana, IL), observed Riverton's basketball team knock off Pana by a score of 64-50.

The Hawks (14-1) will now prepare for their challenge against South County (Franklin, IL). The Vipers come into the non-league challenge with a 8-8 record. In their last challenge, South County prevailed over Nokomis (Nokomis, IL), 48-36, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Panthers battle the Mattoon Greenwave (Mattoon, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 7. Pana will attempt to improve on its 5-8 season record. The Greenwave come into the challenge with a 3-13 record after their 60-54 non-league loss to Centennial (Champaign, IL).
