The Weir Red Riders basketball squad (Weirton, WV), was crushed 65-38 in Saturday's non-league battle with the visiting Quaker Valley Quakers (Leetsdale, PA)
With the victory, Quaker Valley advances its record to 7-2 on the year. The Quakers host Hopewell (Aliquippa, PA) to meet the Vikings in a WPIAL 4A 2 battle on Tuesday, January 7. The Vikings enter the battle with a record of 4-5.
The Red Riders now own a 2-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Brooke for a Two Rivers battle on Friday, January 10.
