Tennessee High School Basketball - Smyrna sneaks past Rhea County

January 4, 2025: Evensville, TN 37332

The Smyrna Bulldogs (Smyrna, TN) basketball edged the host Rhea County Golden Eagles (Evensville, TN), 66-64 in Saturday's non-league bout.

The Bulldogs now possess a 8-7 record. They play next when they travel to Tellico Plains for a non-league bout on Saturday, January 4. Smyrna will play a Bears team coming off a 73-43 non-league win over Smyrna (Smyrna, TN). The Bears record now stands at 11-1.

With the loss, Rhea County falls to 15-6 on the campaign. The Golden eagles travel to Meigs County (Decatur, TN) to play the Tigers in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 7. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 4-7.
