The St. James Wildcats nipped the host Riverside Academy Rebels basketball squad by a final score of 55-51 in Saturday's non-league outing.
Next, the Wildcats face the Ascension Catholic Bulldogs (Donaldsonville, LA) in a non-league outing, on Monday, January 6. St. James will attempt to upgrade on its 5-8 season record. The Bulldogs enter the outing with a 10-7 record after their 60-32 non-league loss to East St. John (Reserve, LA).
The Rebels (3-7) will now prepare for their outing against Pope John Paul II (Slidell, LA). The Jaguars enter the non-league outing with a 4-6 record. In their last outing, Pope John Paul II was nipped by Thomas Jefferson (Gretna, LA), 60-43, in a non-league outing.
