The Waverly Wolverines (Waverly, NY) basketball edged the visiting Sidney Team (Sidney, NY), 55-51 in Saturday's non-league bout.
The Wolverines now possess a 4-2 record. They play next when they travel to Addison for a non-league bout on Monday, January 6. Waverly will play a Knights team coming off a 55-51 non-league loss to Arkport Central (Arkport, NY). The Knights record now stands at 3-7.
With the loss, Sidney falls to 1-5 on the campaign. The Team travel to Harpursville (Harpursville, NY) to play the Hornets in a Section 4 Midstate bout on Tuesday, January 7. The Hornets go into the bout with a record of 3-4.
