The St. Helena College and Career Academy Hawks (Greensburg, LA) basketball edged the visiting Slidell Tigers (Slidell, LA), 40-39 in Saturday's non-league bout.

The Hawks now possess a 7-6 record. They play next when they travel to Livonia for a non-league bout on Monday, January 6. St. Helena College and Career Academy will play a Wildcats team coming off a 61-41 non-league win over Bogalusa (Bogalusa, LA). The Wildcats record now stands at 8-15.

With the loss, Slidell falls to 22-7 on the campaign. The Tigers host West Jefferson (Harvey, LA) to play the Buccaneers in a non-league bout on Wednesday, January 8. The Buccaneers go into the bout with a record of 10-13.
