The Elk Grove Thundering Herd basketball team scored 42 points and limited the host Hillsdale FIGHTING KNIGHTS to 35 in the Thundering Herd non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Thundering Herd now have a 9-7 record. They play next when they travel to Laguna Creek for a game on Wednesday, January 8. Elk Grove will confront a Cardinals team coming off a 65-28 non-league loss to Oak Ridge (El Dorado Hills, CA). The Cardinals record now stands at 2-7.

With the loss, Hillsdale falls to 3-6 on the campaign. The Fighting knights host Jefferson (Daly City, CA) to confront the Grizzlies in a game on Wednesday, January 8. The Grizzlies go into the game with a record of 2-2. Jefferson won 51-43 in their recent non-league game against Westmoor (Daly City, CA)
