The Monterey Trail Mustangs basketball team scored 64 points and limited the host Kennedy Cougars to 43 in the Mustangs non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Mustangs now have a 4-4 record. They play next when they host Sheldon for a game on Wednesday, January 8. Monterey Trail will confront a Huskies team coming off a 65-49 non-league win over Jesuit (Carmichael, CA). The Huskies record now stands at 11-5.

With the loss, Kennedy falls to 4-3 on the campaign. The Cougars host McClatchy (Sacramento, CA) to confront the Lions in a game on Monday, January 6. The Lions go into the game with a record of 6-3. McClatchy lost 59-54 in their recent non-league game against Del Campo (Fair Oaks, CA)
