The Democrats (7-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Franklin (Portland, OR). The Quakers come into the 6A Portland challenge with a 1-7 record. In their last challenge, Franklin was routed by Hood River Valley (Hood River, OR), 42-28, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Hornets encounter the San Ramon Valley Wolves (Danville, CA) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 7. Alameda will attempt to improve on its 8-4 season record. The Wolves come into the challenge with a 10-2 record after their 53-48 non-league win over Oakland Tech (Oakland, CA).
