Virginia High School Basketball - Bishop Ireton crushes Manchester

January 4, 2025: Midlothian, VA 23112

The Bishop Ireton Cardinals (Alexandria, VA) basketball crushed the host Manchester Lancers (Midlothian, VA), 86-42 in Saturday's non-league bout.

The Cardinals now possess a 10-1 record. They play next when they travel to Bishop O'Connell for a VISAA Division I bout on Sunday, January 5. Bishop Ireton will play a Knights team coming off a 63-59 non-league win over Mater Lakes Academy (Miami, FL). The Knights record now stands at 9-3.

With the loss, Manchester falls to 5-2 on the campaign. The Lancers travel to Powhatan (Powhatan, VA) to play the Indians in a Dominion bout on Tuesday, January 7. The Indians go into the bout with a record of 6-2. Powhatan lost 46-39 in their recent non-league bout against Patrick Henry (Ashland, VA)
