The Lanier Longhorns (Sugar Hill, GA) basketball edged the host Denmark (Alpharetta, GA), 54-50 in Saturday's non-league bout.
The Longhorns now possess a 8-8 record. They play next when they travel to Chattahoochee for a AAAAA Region 7 bout on Tuesday, January 7. Lanier will play a Cougars team coming off a 44-23 non-league loss to South Forsyth (Cumming, GA). The Cougars record now stands at 8-8.
With the loss, Denmark falls to 7-8 on the campaign. The host North Atlanta (Atlanta, GA) to play the Warriors in a AAAAAA Region 6 bout on Tuesday, January 7. The Warriors go into the bout with a record of 4-9. North Atlanta won 59-30 in their recent non-league bout against Tampa Bay Tech (Tampa, FL)
