The Newton Local Indians bounced the visiting Dixie Greyhounds basketball squad by a final score of 47-25 in Saturday's league outing.
Next, the Indians face the Emmanuel Christian Academy Lions (Springfield, OH) in a non-league outing, on Monday, January 6. Newton Local will attempt to upgrade on its 4-6 season record. The Lions enter the outing with a 1-6 record after their 38-26 non-league loss to National Trail (New Paris, OH).
The Greyhounds (1-9) will now prepare for their outing against Arcanum (Arcanum, OH). The Trojans enter the Western Ohio outing with a 6-5 record. In their last outing, Arcanum routed Mississinawa Valley (Union City, OH), 51-46, in a league outing.
