The Hoover Buccaneers (Hoover, AL) basketball toppled the visiting Tupelo Golden Wave (Tupelo, MS), 66-53 in Saturday's non-league bout.
The Buccaneers now possess a 19-2 record. They play next when they host Vestavia Hills for a 7A Area 6 bout on Tuesday, January 7. Hoover will play a Rebels team coming off a 41-26 non-league win over Hartselle (Hartselle, AL). The Rebels record now stands at 19-1.
With the loss, Tupelo falls to 17-1 on the campaign. The Golden wave travel to Murrah (Jackson, MS) to play the Mustangs in a 7A Region 2 bout on Tuesday, January 7. The Mustangs go into the bout with a record of 4-10.
