Illinois High School Basketball - Mt. Carmel routs Vincennes Rivet

In Saturday's non-league contest, the host Mt. Carmel Golden Aces basketball team scored a big 59-31 triumph over the Vincennes Rivet Patriots.

The Golden Aces (15-2) will now prepare for their contest against Richland County (Olney, IL). The Tigers go into the Little Illini contest with a 9-7 record. In their last contest, Richland County smashed Carbondale (Carbondale, IL), 59-48, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Patriots confront the Springs Valley Blackhawks (French Lick, IN) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, January 11. Vincennes Rivet will attempt to better on its 9-6 season record.
