In Saturday's non-league contest, the host Downey Vikings basketball team scored a good 36-22 win over the La Serna Lancers.
The Vikings (12-5) will now prepare for their contest against Warren (Downey, CA). The Bears come into the contest with a 3-0 record. In their last contest, Warren defeated Costa Mesa (Costa Mesa, CA), 48-13, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Lancers battle the Garfield Bulldogs (Los Angeles, CA) in a non-league contest, on Monday, January 6. La Serna will attempt to better on its 4-6 season record. The Bulldogs come into the contest with a 2-2 record after their 41-37 non-league loss to Burbank (Burbank, CA).
