In Saturday's non-league contest, the host Quemado Eagles basketball team scored a good 44-31 triumph over the Mountainair Mustangs.
The Eagles (3-1) will now prepare for their contest against Reserve (Reserve, NM). The Mountaineers go into the non-league contest with a 0-0 record.
In their next game, the Mustangs battle the Alamo Navajo Cougars (Magdalena, NM) in a non-league contest, on Thursday, January 23. Mountainair will attempt to better on its 0-1 season record.
