Texas High School Soccer - Guyer nudges Amarillo

The Guyer Wildcats soccer squad scored 2 points and held the visiting Amarillo Sandies to 1 in the Wildcats non-league victory on Saturday.
The Wildcats now hold a 1-1 record. They play next when they travel to Birdville for a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 7. Guyer will play a Hawks squad coming off a 1-0 non-league win over Northwest (Justin, TX). The Hawks record now stands at 3-0.
With the loss, Amarillo moves to 3-1 on the year. The Sandies travel to Palo Duro (Amarillo, TX) to play the Dons in a 5A Region 1 District 3 bout on Friday, January 10. The Dons go into the bout with a record of 2-0.
