In Saturday's non-league outing, the visiting Coconino Panthers soccer squad scored a tight 3-1 victory over the Valley Christian Trojans.

The Panthers (6-2) will now prepare for their match against Shadow Mountain (Phoenix, AZ). The Matadors come into the non-league match with a 0-1 record. In their last match, Shadow Mountain Coronado (Scottsdale, AZ), 1-1, in a non-league match.

The Trojans now sport a 6-2 record. They take the field next when they host Seton Catholic for a 3A Metro match on Thursday, January 9. Valley Christian will meet a Sentinels team coming off a 10-0 non-league win over Florence (Florence, AZ). The Sentinels record now stands at 4-1.
