California High School Soccer - El Camino Real nudges Independence

In Saturday's non-league outing, the host El Camino Real Royals soccer squad scored a tight 1-0 victory over the Independence Falcons.
The Royals (5-2) will now prepare for their outing against Taft (Woodland Hills, CA). The Toreadors go into the West Valley outing with a 0-8 record. In their last outing, Taft was edged by Flintridge Prep (La Canada, CA), 2-0, in a non-league outing.
Next up, the Falcons confront the Bakersfield Drillers (Bakersfield, CA) in a South Yosemite - Valley outing, on Tuesday, January 7. Independence will attempt to improve on its 1-6 season record. The Drillers go into the outing with a 5-4 record after their 3-0 non-league loss to Highland (Bakersfield, CA).
