Fans at Saturday's non-league battle between the Sterling Rangers (Baytown, TX) and the host Texas City Stingarees (Texas City, TX), saw Sterling's soccer squad hold off Texas City by a count of 1-0.

The Rangers (3-1) will now prepare for their battle against Dickinson (Dickinson, TX). The Gators enter the non-league battle with a 2-3 record. In their last battle, Dickinson tipped Dekaney (Houston, TX), 2-1, in a non-league battle.

Next up, the Stingarees battle the Caney Creek Panthers (Conroe, TX) in a non-league battle, on Thursday, January 9. Texas City will attempt to better on its 3-3 season record. The Panthers go into the challenge with a 1-3 record after their 3-0 non-league loss to Glenn (Leander, TX).
