In Saturday's non-league contest, the host Fergus Falls Otters ice hockey team scored a close 4-2 triumph over the Marshall Tigers.
The Otters (5-3) will now prepare for their contest against Alexandria (Alexandria, MN). The Cardinals come into the Central Lakes contest with a 3-4 record. In their last contest, Alexandria got by St. Cloud Cathedral (St. Cloud, MN), 4-1, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Tigers battle the Worthington Trojans (Worthington, MN) in a Southwest contest, on Tuesday, January 7. Marshall will attempt to better on its 1-7 season record. The Trojans come into the contest with a 3-7 record after their 15-1 non-league loss to Waseca (Waseca, MN).
