Oglethorpe County Patriots (Lexington, GA) supporters left the game satisfied Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the host Athens Academy Spartans (Athens, GA), 29-23 in a league match.
With the victory, Oglethorpe County advances its record to 1-2 on the year. The Patriots host Providence Christian Academy (Lilburn, GA) to face the Storm in a non-league match on Tuesday, January 21. The Storm enter the match with a record of 9-0.
The Spartans now own a 1-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Commerce for a match on Tuesday, January 7.
