The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Banneker Trojans (College Park, GA) and the visiting Mt. Zion Bulldogs (Jonesboro, GA), observed Banneker's basketball team knock off Mt. Zion by a tally of 41-23.

The Trojans now possess a 1-3 record. They play next when they travel to North Atlanta for a non-league bout on Wednesday, January 8. Banneker will play a Warriors team coming off a 48-24 non-league win over North Clayton (College Park, GA). The Warriors record now stands at 4-1.

With the loss, Mt. Zion falls to 4-5 on the campaign. The Bulldogs host Mundy's Mill (Jonesboro, GA) to play the Tigers in a non-league bout on Wednesday, January 8. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 5-0. Mundy's Mill won 64-49 in their recent non-league bout against North Clayton (College Park, GA)
