The Hampton County Hurricanes basketball team scored 38 points and limited the visiting Battery Creek Dolphins to 17 in the Hurricanes non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Hurricanes now possess a 1-0 record.

With the loss, Battery Creek falls to 1-6 on the campaign. The Dolphins travel to Oceanside Collegiate Academy (Mt. Pleasant, SC) to confront the Landsharks in a game on Friday, January 10. The Landsharks go into the game with a record of 0-6. Oceanside Collegiate Academy lost 38-34 in their recent non-league game against Porter-Gaud (Charleston, SC)
