The Beatrice Orangemen basketball team scored 52 points and held the visiting Seward Bluejays to 49 in the Orangemen non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Orangemen now sport a 6-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Plattsmouth for a non-league contest on Friday, January 13. Beatrice will battle a Blue Devils team coming off a 53-50 non-league loss to Elkhorn (Elkhorn, NE). The Blue Devils record now stands at 3-8.

The Bluejays (5-5) will now prepare for their contest against Schuyler (Schuyler, NE). The Warriors enter the non-league contest with a 0-9 record. In their last contest, Schuyler was nudged by Aurora (Aurora, NE), 67-24, in a non-league contest.
