In Thursday's league outing, the Lynden Lions (Lynden, WA) basketball squad overwhelmed the host Bellingham Bayhawks (Bellingham, WA), by a margin of 69-44.
The Lions (6-1) will now prepare for their outing against Mt. Baker (Deming, WA). The Mountaineers go into the 1A/2A/3A Northwest outing with a 2-6 record. In their last outing, Mt. Baker was trounced by Burlington-Edison (Burlington, WA), 85-51, in a league outing.
The Bayhawks now own a 4-6 record. They play next when they travel to Sequim for a non-league outing on Saturday, January 7. Bellingham will clash with a Wolves squad coming off a 53-47 league win over Olympic (Bremerton, WA). The Wolves record now stands at 5-6.
