The New Britain Golden Hurricanes basketball team scored 53 points and held the visiting Berlin Redcoats to 44 in the Golden Hurricanes non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Golden Hurricanes now sport a 3-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to East Hartford for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 10. New Britain will meet a Hornets team coming off a 71-43 non-league win over Avon (Avon, CT). The Hornets record now stands at 2-4.

The Redcoats (1-6) will now prepare for their contest against Avon (Avon, CT). The Falcons enter the non-league contest with a 1-4 record. In their last game, Avon lost by East Hartford (East Hartford, CT), 71-43, in a non-league game.
