Texas High School Basketball - Scarborough knocked off by Chavez

The Chavez Lobos basketball team scored 73 points and held the host Scarborough Spartans to 54 in the Lobos non-league triumph on Thursday.
The Lobos now sport a 8-14 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Houston Math Science & Tech for a 6A Region III District 18 contest on Saturday, January 7. Chavez will battle a Tigers team coming off a 65-50 non-league loss to Waltrip (Houston, TX). The Tigers record now stands at 2-10.
The Spartans (1-13) will now prepare for their contest against Yates (Houston, TX). The Lions enter the 4A Region III District 21 contest with a 7-3 record. In their last contest, Yates was defeated by Clear Falls (League City, TX), 92-60, in a non-league contest.
