Platt Panthers (Meriden, CT) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Cheshire Rams (Cheshire, CT), 79-46 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Platt upgrades its record to 5-2 on the season. The Panthers host South Windsor (South Windsor, CT) to clash with the Bobcats in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 10. The Bobcats go into the bout with a record of 1-6. South Windsor lost 46-45 in their recent non-league bout against Plainville (Plainville, CT)

Next up, the Rams clash with the Sheehan Titans (Wallingford, CT) in a Southern Connecticut - Housatonic bout, on Saturday, January 7. Cheshire will attempt to upgrade on its 1-5 season record. The Titans go into the bout with a 0-6 record after their 54-38 league loss to Amity Regional (Woodbridge, CT).
