Nebraska High School Basketball - Tri County nudges Fairbury

January 5, 2023: DeWitt, NE 68341

Tri County Trojans (DeWitt, NE) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Fairbury Jeffs (Fairbury, NE), 52-49 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Tri County upgrades its record to 10-1 on the season. The Trojans travel to Freeman (Adams, NE) to clash with the Falcons in a C2 District 1 bout on Saturday, January 7. The Falcons go into the bout with a record of 10-0. Freeman won 60-25 in their recent league bout against Johnson County Central (Tecumseh, NE)

Next up, the Jeffs clash with the Wilber-Clatonia Wolverines (Wilber, NE) in a C1 District 1 bout, on Thursday, January 12. Fairbury will attempt to upgrade on its 6-5 season record. The Wolverines go into the bout with a 5-7 record after their 46-37 non-league win over Southern (Wymore, NE).
