With the victory, Matawan Regional improves its record to 4-4 on the campaign. The Huskies travel to Neptune (Neptune, NJ) to confront the Scarlet Fliers in a non-league challenge on Friday, January 6. The Scarlet Fliers come into the challenge with a record of 3-3. Neptune lost 49-31 in their recent non-league challenge against St. Rose (Belmar, NJ)

Next up, the Rebels confront the Toms River East Raiders (Toms River, NJ) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, January 7. Howell will attempt to improve on its 3-5 season record. The Raiders come into the challenge with a 2-5 record after their 59-40 non-league loss to Jackson Memorial (Jackson Township, NJ).
