Jackson Memorial Jaguars (Jackson Township, NJ) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Toms River East Raiders (Toms River, NJ), 59-40 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Jackson Memorial upgrades its record to 7-1 on the season. The Jaguars travel to Southern Regional (Manahawkin, NJ) to play the Rams in a Shore A - South bout on Tuesday, January 10. The Rams go into the bout with a record of 7-2.

Next up, the Raiders play the Howell Rebels (Farmingdale, NJ) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 7. Toms River East will attempt to upgrade on its 2-5 season record. The Rebels go into the bout with a 3-5 record after their 52-47 non-league loss to Matawan Regional (Aberdeen, NJ).
