The University Liggett Knights basketball team scored 59 points and held the visiting Oakland Christian Lancers to 47 in the Knights non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Knights now sport a 4-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Cardinal Mooney Catholic for a Catholic Intersectional I contest on Friday, January 6. University Liggett will battle a Cardinals team coming off a 52-49 non-league win over Clintondale (Clinton Township, MI). The Cardinals record now stands at 5-1.

The Lancers (4-2) will now prepare for their contest against Southfield Christian (Southfield, MI). The Eagles enter the Michigan Independent - Blue contest with a 2-4 record. In their last contest, Southfield Christian was defeated by Troy (Troy, MI), 71-36, in a non-league contest.
