The Scotch Plains-Fanwood Raiders basketball team (Scotch Plains, NJ), was nudged 58-51 in Thursday's league battle with the host Union Farmers (Union, NJ)
The Farmers now possess a 5-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Union Catholic for a Mountain Valley - Mountain battle on Monday, January 9. Union will battle a Vikings team coming off a 62-45 non-league loss to St. Peter's Prep (Jersey City, NJ). The Vikings record now stands at 4-4.
The Raiders (2-3) will now prepare for their battle against Westfield (Westfield, NJ). The Blue Devils come into the Mountain Valley - Mountain battle with a 5-4 record. In their last battle, Westfield edged Plainfield (Plainfield, NJ), 42-27, in a non-league battle.
