In Thursday's league outing, the Bluefield Beavers (Bluefield, WV) basketball squad edged the visiting WestSide Renegades (Clear Fork, WV), by a count of 42-36.
The Beavers (3-5) will now prepare for their outing against Tazewell (Tazewell, VA). The Bulldogs go into the non-league outing with a 3-7 record. In their last outing, Tazewell was tipped by Lebanon (Lebanon, VA), 63-44, in a non-league outing.
The Renegades now hold a 3-6 record. They play next when they travel to River View for a non-league outing on Tuesday, January 10. WestSide will clash with a Raiders squad coming off a 48-38 league loss to Greenbrier West (Charmco, WV). The Raiders record now stands at 4-5.
